Energy-saving technology for amine treatment of industrial gases

29EN
Process Description
Feedstock – the treated acid gas is separated in separator 1 from the droplet moisture, which is discharged from the unit. Separation gas is fed to the bottom of absorber 2 after heating its part in the refluxing section 3. Water solution of amine is supplied upstream of the absorption section 4 of the absorber . The saturated absorbent is discharged from the bottom of the absorber , and the treated gas enters refluxing section 3, where it is cooled under refluxing conditions, partially dried and treated from absorbent vapors, and discharged from the top of the absorber .

Process features
  • Cooling of the treated gas in the upper refluxing section of the absorber to reduce amine losses and prevent foaming

Technical Specification
  • Treated gas pressure 0.6–10 MPa
  • Treated gas temperature 15–45 ºС
  • Residual content of acidic components in the treated gas - 7–20 mg/m
