Process Description Feedstock – the treated gas is mixed with slip stream from sump 3 and interacts in absorber 1 with a chelated absorbent with the conversion of hydrogen sulfide into elemental sulfur . The resulting treated gas is removed from the unit, and the saturated absorbent is pumped by pump 8 to sump 3, where it is degassed and clarified to produce slip stream, clarified absorbent and sulfur suspension. The latter is fed into the crystallizer 4, where it is washed with water condensate and/or steam. the wash water is routed to absorber 1, and the washed sulfur suspension is fed to separator 6 through recuperative heat exchanger 7 connected to the treated water removal line and heater 5. Liquid sulfur is removed from the bottom of the separator , clarified water is removed from the top. The clarified absorbent is fed from sump 3 to regenerator 2, where it comes into contact with air. The spent air is removed from the plant, and the regenerated absorbent is divided into circulating and balanced, which, after mixing with washing and desulfurized water, is fed into the absorber 1 as a chelated absorbent.
