Field processing of APG to produce fuel gas

19EN
Process Description
Feedstock – compressed APG – is saturated with water vapor in saturator 1, which receives prepared water heated in refluxer 2. Cooled water is discharged from the bottom of saturator 1. Saturation gas is removed from the top of saturator 1 and mixed with water condensate, forcibly supplied from the bottom of refluxer 2. The combined stream is heated in refluxer 2, heat exchanger 3 and supplied into converter 4. In this converter , heavy hydrocarbons are converted into a mixture of methane, carbon dioxide and hydrogen. The mixture enters reactor 5, where hydrogen is selectively oxidized to water vapor by air oxygen. The resulting gas-vapor mixture is supplied through heat exchanger 3 to refluxer 2, where it is cooled with a mixture of APG and water condensate, then with water and separated to produce water condensate and fuel gas removed from the unit.
