Zero waste hydrogen sulfide and light mercaptans stripping from oil

44EN
Process Description
Feedstock – oil after the terminal separation unit is fed into upper part of desorber 1. Circulating treated APG is fed to lower part of desorber 1 from unit 2. Desulfurized oil is removed from bottom of desorber 1, and stripping gas from overhead of desorber 1 is sent 6 to desulfurization unit 2, where it is treated with a regenerated absorbent based on iron chelate complexes, and treated gas is forcedly recirculating. Air is supplied to unit 2 for regeneration of absorbent, off-gas and sulfur suspension is removed from unit 2, which is mixed into feed and then dissolved.

Process features
  • Hydrogen sulfide and light mercaptans stripping with circulating gas
  • Chelate treatment of circulating gas to produce non-volatile products that dissolve in oil, which does not deteriorate quality
  • Formal absence of waste
  • Limitation of production

Technical Specification
  • Oil temperature 35-45 °C
  • Pressure 0,05-0,55 MPa
