Contact low-budget technology for recovery of sulfur vapor and mist

32EN
Process Description
Feedstock - gas containing sulfur vapors is fed to node 1, where it comes into contact with a balanced suspension of sulfur and with liquid sulfur , the temperature of which is maintained above the melting point, but below the polymerization temperature of sulfur using a cooling system 3. From node 1, the balance portion of the liquid sulfur is discharged from the unit and the other portion is routed back to node 1. The treated gas is fed to node 2, where it is contacted with water , the temperature of which is maintained below the melting point of the sulfur , but above the ambient temperature, by cooling system 4. The balance sulfur suspension is forced into unit 1, and the sulfurized exhaust gas is discharged from the unit.
