Resource-saving technology for glycol drying of gases

28EN
Process Description
Feedstock – wet gas after preliminary treatment in gas treatment unit 1 is sent to the lower part of the absorber 2 with upper and lower heat and mass transfer sections, into which the refrigerant is supplied by counterflow. Upstream of the upper heat and mass transfer section, deeply regenerated glycol is supplied from glycol regeneration unit 3, and downstream of the upper section, regenerated glycol is supplied. Dry gas is discharged from the top of absorber 2, and glycol saturated with water is discharged from the bottom and supplied to unit 3. Water condensate is discharged from unit 3.

Process features
  • Two-stage vacuum glycol regeneration
  • Reduction of energy consumption for glycol regeneration and gas cooling
  • Multiple reduction of thermal decomposition of glycol

Technical Specification
  • Dry gas pressure: 0,1–10,0 MPa
  • Dried gas temperature from 5 до 45ºС by purging with compressed gas
  • Residual moisture content in the dry gas is 50–500 mg/m³
