Oil refining to produce a single product – diesel fuel

64EN
Process Description
Feedstock – the treated oil is fractionated in unit 1 to produce gas, gasoline and diesel fractions, heavy gas oil and residue. Heavy gas oil together with hydroconversion heavy gas oil, gasoline fractions of fractionation and hydroconversion, recycled gasoline fraction and catalytic dehydrocyclodimerization product are subjected to thermal conversion in unit 2 to obtain gas, gasoline and diesel fractions, as well as residue. The fractionation residue together with the thermal conversion residue in unit 3 is subjected to catalytic hydroconversion to produce heavy gas oil, gasoline and diesel fractions, as well as residue. Fractionation gases in unit 4 are treated to remove hydrogen sulfide to obtain sulfur. Part of the treated gases undergoes catalytic dehydrocyclodimerization in unit 5 to obtain a product containing aromatic hydrocarbons and hydrogen and sent for thermal conversion to unit 2. The gasoline fraction of the thermal conversion in unit 6 undergoes catalytic oligomerization with by producing diesel fraction and a recycled gasoline fraction, which is sent to thermal conversion in unit 2. The total diesel fraction is dscharged from the unit.
